Avenue Art Days is bringing color and giving a voice to artists and designers in Wichita. Since 2015, Avenue Art Days has held six events, which included hundreds of volunteers and gained the attention of the entire city. From news outlets, to out-of-town visitors, to the residents that live, work, play and pray through the District every day, people are taking notice of the vibrancy and commerce that exists on our stretch of Douglas Avenue . With over 100+ murals painted in the District as a part of Avenue Art Days, they are providing community, connectivity and creativity in order to improve economic development, public and mental health, and perception in Wichita.

Our second annual Back-To-School Backpack Giveaway Events were a HUGE SUCCESS! Between all of our backpack giveaways this year, we were able to help over 2,000 kids with back to school supplies! We hope this helps kids start off on the right foot! See you next year!

Empower Evergreen is a new non-profit that focuses much of its efforts on the north end of Wichita. Their mission is to move the community forward through small business development, education, and workforce readiness. Heartspring has been a leader and innovator in services for children with special needs and their families for decades. Kyle is a neat kid who puts forth STRONG effort and ALWAYS sees room for growth. He is confident enough in himself as a middle schooler to try whatever sport is of interest to him, and truly gives it his all in all aspects of his life. Kyle enjoys drag racing, distance running (he’s placed in his age bracket in two half marathons), basketball, tennis, soccer, and Pickleball from time to time.

Kyle has a competitive nature but with a level of humbleness, knowing there’s always room for improvement. With this work ethic and attitude, Kyle is sure to do GREAT THINGS in this life! Keep working hard, KYLE! You are inspiring us all!
