First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, they create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do. 

Experiences are our greatest teacher. First Tee believes in developing the ones that are just as fun as they are meaningful, where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. Through our personal growth and junior golf programs, we see kids’ build self confidence, inspiring more active participation in leadership opportunities and events, community involvement, and college scholarships.

Wichita Animal Action League, or WAAL, is a volunteer-based, licensed rescue and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created in November 2013 to advocate for all abused, neglected and abandoned animals in the Wichita area.

WAAL is an action oriented group dedicated to rescuing animals in crisis.

Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County promotes the safety, health and emotional well-being of abused children and their caregivers by bringing together public, private and community partners. Congrats to PATTERSON LEGAL GROUP ATHLETE OF THE MONTH BRODY WEYAND! Brody is a not only a role model on the court or field, but is also a wonderful mentor to his two-year-old brother! Brody is kind-hearted, but a very competitive player. He started playing soccer at a very early age of 3, often playing against those who were two years older. He is currently playing basketball, baseball, and soccer. After each baseball game and practice, he runs with his brother around the bases smiling ear to ear! Congrats, Brody! Keep up the FANTATIC work!

Congrats to PATTERSON LEGAL GROUP ATHLETE OF THE MONTH JA’VARIS ALSTON!

Ja’Varis works very hard in everything he does! He participates in football and track and earned an eighth-place finish at the Jr. Olympics in javelin. Ja’Varis also puts forth much effort in the classroom and pushes himself to be a better kid every day. Keep up the great work, Ja’Varis!

Congrats to the PATTERSON LEGAL GROUP ATHLETE OF THE MONTH JAYCE HARDY! Jayce has a heart of gold and is a great role model for his two younger brothers.  He always thinks of others and is very helpful. A new day, a new non-profit to honor! Congrats to our Patterson Gives Back non-profit winner, Project Topeka!!!!!

Project Topeka is the community’s original food drive, having begun in 1986.  It is an all-volunteer organization guaranteeing 100% of the donations to be used to feed hungry children, adults, and the elderly in Topeka and Shawnee County.
